CANDLE REFILL KITS
REFILL KIT INSTRUCTIONS
1. Add wax to a microwave-safe container (e.g., a glass measuring
pitcher). Place in the microwave for 1-4 minutes or until melted
(130-150 degrees F is ideal). Use caution when removing the hot,
melted wax from your microwave.
2. Add fragrance oil to the melted wax. Use 1:16 ratio or full bottle of
oil for full bag of wax. Stir slowly for 2 minutes using a mixing stick
or spoon. Fragrance oil is highly flammable and should never be
microwaved.
3. Use the wick sticker to attach the wick to the center of the
candle vessel. Ensure the vessel is clean and dry to guarantee
the adhesive bonds (hot glue may also work as a backup).
4. With the wick in place, ensure the vessel is on a level surface.
Very carefully pour the scented wax into the vessel, leaving
about 1/4” of space between the top of the vessel and the
surface of the wax. Use a paper towel to catch and/or clean up
any drips. Leftover wax can be saved in a paper cup and used as
a wax melt. Never pour wax down the drain.
5. Slide the wick bar over the top of the wick and clamp the wick
just above the bar using the clothespin. Adjust your wick and
clamp to ensure it is centered.
Let your candle dry for 24 hours to ensure a full cure. Remove the
wick bar and use a wick trimmer or scissors to trim your wick to
about 1/4”.
6. Time to enjoy your candle! Be sure to never leave a candle
unattended. Keep away from children and pets. Always allow
your candle to develop a full melt pool before extinguishing to
avoid tunneling. Never burn for more than 4 hours. Stop using
Adult supervision required. Fragrance oils are highly flammable (flashpoint of 187°F).
Do not ingest. avoid contact by wearing gloves and eye protection.
CLEANING OUT A CANDLE JAR
Option 1: Freezer Method
Place the candle jar in the freezer for a few
hours. Once the wax is fully hardened, use a
butter knife or spoon to gently pop it out.
Option 2: Boiling Water Method
Fill the jar with boiling water, leaving room at
the top. Let it sit — the wax will melt and float
to the surface. Once cool, remove the hardened
wax and pour out the water.
Peel off the old wick tab (if any) using pliers.
RATIOS
When refilling an 8oz candle, we recommend
using approximately 8oz of wax and about
0.5oz of fragrance oil - a 1:16 ratio of
fragrance to wax.
You can use less fragrance oil for a lighter
scent, but avoid exceeding this ratio, as too
much fragrance can cause separation from
the wax.
