Reasons to Burn Incense

From therapeutic and medicinal properties, to improving sleep quality and relaxation, incense sticks have been used for centuries. People have used incense as an incredible holistic way to calm the mind, body, and spirit. It’s a popular form of aromatherapy that brings overall well being.

We created our own line of incense with five beautiful scents designed to enhance your mood and aid you in your own aromatherapy practices. Choose from best selling Fraser Fir, Amber + Sandalwood, Bergamot + Tobacco, Palo Santo + Sandalwood, or Dragon’s Blood. Each has its own therapeutic benefits because of the essential oils it’s been infused with. Our incense sticks are made from eco-friendly bamboo wood and joss powder, and each stick has a burn time of 45-60 minutes. Perfect for your daily practice.

Choose your incense based on the essential oils that will benefit you the most.

Essential oils for aromatherapy:

Dragon’s Blood— infused with cedar wood, clove, orange, and patchouli

Benefits of burning incense:

Aid sleep/relaxation

Since incense has a shorter burn time and no open flame, it’s a safer option to use before bed, and has a calming effect depending on the scent, that will bring peace to your environment to help you reach more restful sleep.

Aid respiratory issues

The smoke from incense is considered to be anti-septic and anti-inflammatory, making it great for reducing coughing and congestion. Sit near your incense and breathe deeply, inhaling the smoke to aid your lungs.

Meditation/spiritual practices

Preparing your incense is a beautiful mindful practice that paired with a spiritual practice like yoga, meditation or prayer can become even more powerful. The incense creates a safe and peaceful atmosphere, and offering an intention while you light the stick can help create good karma. Light your incense with the intention of “letting go of stress and worry” to calm your spirit.

Stimulate creativity/focus

Uplifting scents can enhance thought processes and mental performance. Use scents like bergamot, spearmint, fir needle, or lemon to uplift your mood and stimulate creative problem solving.

Reduce headaches

With the soothing properties of scents like sandalwood, grounding patchouli, or palo santo you can actually release tension and relieve the pressure of headaches while burning incense. This is a centuries old holistic practice.

Reduce stress & anxiety

If you’re plagued by stress or anxiety, try a daily incense burning practice to find calm and soothe your worries away. Warming and spiced scents like clove, amyris, patchouli, and cedarwood are great for this.
